The Golden State of California has many wonderful destinations to suite your needs and desires and one of these gems you should put on your list is San Francisco! As the second most densly populated city in our country (behind New York City), San Francisco is considered by many to be the cultural mecca of the west coast. There is so much to see and do while visiting this area you will surely be disappointed if you don't have more than a few hours to spare. You don't want to be one of those couples that say "We've been to San Francisco, but we didn't see that.... or that... .or that...".
Of the many points and activities of interest you may want to explore, The Golden Gate Bridge, a Cable Car Ride, Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz and Chinatown are just a few you may want to consider. If you really want to splurge a bit, a romantic dinner at one of the many restuarants just around the corner from any of the popular venues will give your feet some rest and your belly happy. Be sure to bring an extra wallet or credit card while visiting Frisco because most things are a bit pricy. Locals may tell you this place is cheap or that place is reasonable, but they are accustomed to higher prices and they don't know what cheap really is!
If you are planning an adventure to San Francisco, you may want to call ahead for certain activities and schedule reservations if necessary. San Francisco attracts the fifth-highest number of foreign tourists of any city in the United States so opportunities are quickly exhausted and last minute travelers may discover frustrations. If your time is more important than your money, you can find some very romantic hotels and restuarants near most venues you may be attending, however, those seeking a budget friendly experience may wish to stay 30 to 90 minutes away from San Francisco proper. Keep an ear on your local radio station for traffic news and updates. Traffic jams can be a mess at certain times and rush hour can be extended much longer than expected.
If you are looking for a romance inspired moment or two, there's plenty available if you just get a little creative. You can watch the fog roll through the area while snuggled together at Ocean Beach or you can enjoy the view up at Twin Peaks. A picnic at Golden Gate Park may be in order as well as a stroll through the streets for shopping and a quick stop at one of the many cafe's dotted throughout the city. For those not in the know, chocolate is an aphrodisiac and there's a nice little gem down in the Fisherman's Wharf area known as Ghirardelli Square. Stop in, get some chocolate and let the phenylethylamine do it's job!
Your adventures near and far should always include love and romance, that is, as long as your honey is with you. If they are still at home, well.... we're not going there! So, if you're in San Francisco and you indeed have your honey with you, for Bunny Up Sake you have to take a stroll down Lover's Lane. We could provide you with the facts and history of Lover's Lane, but we will let your adventures discover those details. We will, however, say you have to make the most of this romantic opportunity and make some memories to last a lifetime!
